Maxine Walton

Y5/6 Homeroom Teacher

Maxine's career path began in the UK, where she qualified as both a teacher and social worker, working with children for many years before relocating to Australia for the past 30 years.

Holding a Master of Educational Studies from the University of Queensland, Maxine has considerable experience in teaching, counselling, and supporting students of diverse abilities and backgrounds. She specialises in behaviour management, special and inclusive needs, and guidance and counselling, making her a crucial member of our team focused on student well-being.

Maxine firmly believes in nurturing students' full potential, both academically and as future global citizens. Grounded in core literacy and numeracy skills, her approach encourages students to become motivated, engaged critical thinkers capable of working independently and collaboratively. Maxine is looking forward to participating in the development and growth of Odyssey International School.
